Dr. Maria Montessori, the founder of the Montessori approach to education, was born in Italy in 1870. She was a physician and educator. Her philosophy of education, her writings on scientific pedagogy and especially her work she had dedicated to children and education during her life has bared her name for about a hundred years.<\/p>\n

In the early 1900s in Italy and European countries Dr. Maria Montessori opened a new outlook of education through her approaches that consider and respect of the \u201cNature Of The Child\u201d.<\/p>\n

She began to write about her discoveries and train people to work with children in the ways she advocated. Dr. Maria Montessori traveled around the world to deliver lectures, and train school teachers about her method. She believed that this is the way to raise the world\u2019s new generation who can make peace in the world.<\/p>\n

Dr. Maria Montessori died in 1952 in Holland. The world admit and give her an international legacy of Montessori Schools and Training Centers and all following Montessori approach.<\/p>\n

WHY MONTESSORI?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Montessori set up the learning environment as an effective way to educate the children consider with their nature and all aspects of development.<\/p>\n

Based on the child\u2019s characteristics and needs Dr. Maria Montessori divided children into stages of development that is called Planes of Development<\/p>\n

In Montessori Method, adults or teachers can observe them individually about their developmental needs and then guide and facilitate them gently to use the learning environment provided to learn. Allowing children to work based on their own interests and freedom of choice, train them to extend their concentration on working in order to achieving his\/her own masteries, and also build their independence.<\/p>\n
